Have you ever wished you were able to capture better portraits of your family and friends? If so, we have just the solution!
Life in Pixels will be holding regular workshops to help non-professional photographers learn how to take better pictures. Each workshop will be focused on a specific aspect of photography and will last between two and three hours.
Some of our workshops will be for those who know nothing about using a DSLR camera, while other workshops will be more advanced. We will also be holding workshops on occasion designed towards children who express an interest in learning more about photography.
Our first workshop will take place August 13th, at 5pm. The location will be determined based on where the majority of attendees are located, so as to make it convenient for everyone. This workshop will be covering the very basics of DSLR photography, including the different modes of your camera, as well as the importance of shutter speed, aperture, and ISO.
We will be limiting the number of attendees to 10 people so that we can provide each person with the attention they deserve. If we receive interest from more people, we do have additional instructors we can bring in order to accommodate a larger group. The only requirement is a desire to learn and a DSLR camera. The cost of the workshop is $50, and must be paid at the time of registration.
Tickets for our workshop can be purchased through Eventbrite.
This upcoming September we will be hosting a group workshop on lighting. This workshop will be covering the basic fundamentals of lighting, as well as the basics of off camera flash photography. For this particular workshop, we will be hosting it outdoors, but we will be offering a studio lighting workshop in the future as well.
The only requirements for this class is that you have your own DSLR camera. We will provide the lighting equipment needed for the workshop, and we will also be able to provide you with recommendations for lighting gear if you are looking to purchase some for your own use.
After all of our workshops, we will have print outs for you to take home that goes over the material we covered during the workshop so that you can use it as a reference while you are perfecting your new skills. For those who attend our workshops but are looking for more one-on-one attention, we highly recommend our private lessons, where you get to work one-on-one with one of the photographers at our studio.
Because of the complexity of the subject matter, this workshop will range from 2 to 3 hours, and the cost will be $75 per person. Tickets must be purchased prior to the workshop if you are planning on attending.
We are still in the planning stages of this particular workshop, so if you would like to be updated when more information becomes available, we recommend that you sign up for our newsletter so that you don't miss when we open up spots to the public.
Please note that our one-on-one classes, as well as our group workshops, are all intended for non-professional photographers. If you are someone looking to improve your skills when it comes to photography, learn how to take better pictures, and learn more about post-production as a hobby, don't hesitate to reach out to us!
